This is an informational site for guitarist and vocalist Scott C. Milner.
"I started playing with my friends in 6th grade and have kept at it more or less steadily ever since. At some point I decided to put as much of my time as possible into learning guitar, as opposed to other instruments. Guitar has, for me, always been primarily accompaniment for singing...but I also love to play instrumentally. Interest in rock, blues, classical and folk has slowly yielded place to the delightful tonal play in jazz. I approach that style with utmost humility, and exult in the new musical freedom found there. Each style has its pull and force."
Scott Performs with the jazz trio, Triple Sec (with Edie Smith and Bill Haffey), with Seeley Lake musicians Joost Verboven and Andrea Bourne as Seeley-Swan Jazz, with the folk duo, Milner and Kobertz, and as a solo act. As a trained tenor, Scott sings with the 32-voice a capella choir, Dolce Canto.
Scott also records and performs with his brothers, Eric and Kelsey, as The Milner Brothers.
Their CD, Haven't Lost a Thing (2004), is available on CDBaby.com. Other Milner Brothers recordings are available from Scott, Eric or Kelsey directly.
On this site you can hear some of Scott's recordings, see photos, and watch video.
There are several videos of Scott's jazz group, Triple Sec, posted on You Tube. The easiest search is: drscmilner. I hope you will "like."
I would like to hear from you: if you have a comment about the music or about the website, write me at scmilner@blackfoot.net. Cheers!
